Our Environmental Commitment

RUPERT'S FRIENDS AT WWCC

A portion of each DVD sale will be donated to the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center of Orange County. Although WWCC typically serves native species exclusively, these nice folks rehabilitated Rupert and his mate Pearl when they got tied up in oil spills or fish hooks. WWCC is currently building a "Rupert Memorial Wing" with x-ray facilities for native wildlife. You can make a tax-deductable donation in honor of Rupert to WWCC by clicking here. OFFICE PRACTICES

Since Rupert, Pearl, and native wildlife such as pelicans, dolphin, and sea lions -- not to mention, surfers! -- are affected by urban run-off, we feel that we ought to do our part to help water quality.

We buy recycled paper products for our office and print materials, and print double-sided. Our lightbulbs are compact-flourescent. We use biodegradable cleaning products, and carpool whenever we can.

DVD AND MERCHANDISE

Our goal: Recycled, non-toxic, & organic, whenever we can.

Our DVD packaging is made out of 100% recycled materials. Our print materials are on 100% recycled paper, using water- and soy-based inks.

We're still deciding about "Rupert" t-shirts - but if we do them, they will be printed on organic or recycled cotton, with water-based inks.
